By accessing or using OwlyBank ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

OwlyBank is an educational tool that helps parents teach children about money management. The App allows parents to track allowances, chores, and spending while children learn to allocate money between Spending, Saving, and Investing accounts.

Important: OwlyBank does not connect to banks, handle payments, or move real money. All balances reflect parent-recorded, offline money activity. The "growth" feature simulates growth to teach financial concepts but does not represent actual financial returns.

3. User Accounts

  • You must be 18 years or older to create a parent account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account.
  • Child profiles are managed by the parent account holder.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Interfere with the App's operation
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse the service

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect only the data necessary to provide the service. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

6. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. The educational content is for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial advice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to create a parent account on OwlyBank. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. Child profiles are created and managed exclusively by parent or guardian account holders.

10. Not a Financial Institution

OwlyBank is not a bank, credit union, or financial institution. We do not hold deposits, issue loans, provide financial advice, or connect to bank accounts. The word "Bank" in our name refers to the educational banking simulation experience. All money tracked in the App represents offline, real-world money managed by parents. Growth rates shown in the App are simulated for educational purposes and do not represent actual financial returns.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, and code of the App are owned by OwlyBank and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the App. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without our written permission.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
